  Baby Safety
Baby Shower Games: (Please send us your baby shower games so we can add to the list.)
  1. Match the Baby Picture: Have all guests bring a baby picture of themselves to the shower. Pin them on a poster sheet and number them. Each participant gets a paper and they must try to match the picture with the correct guest.

  2. Potato of Grapefruit drop: Put a potato (or a grapefruit) between legs and a jar on the floor. Ladies, who are in a circle or a line try to drop the object into the Jar, using only knees, not hands. Everyone laughs so hard. Anyone who drops the object not into the jar, is out. Winner gets to keep the object.

  3. Chocolate Diaper Game: Put 5 or 6 different unwrapped candy bars in separate disposable diapers. Put in the microwave and melt the candy bar. Make sure you have numbered the diapers and then pass them around. Have the guests smell the diapers and write down which candy bar they think is in each one. The winner is the one with the most correct answers and gets a large bag of candy bars.

  4. Alphabet Name Game: Start the game by saying a baby name that starts with A. Have the person next to you continue with a B name, the next person with a C name and so on. If a player cannot give a name within a few seconds during their turn they are out of the game. Keep going until one player remains. This gets tricky after a few rounds, especially with Q, X and Z names.

  5. Unwrap the Gift: Wrap an item, enough prizes for each guest, in many sheets of tissue or wrapping paper. Let each guest pick one wrapped prize and remove a layer of wrapping. Then they must pass the item to the person next to them and that guest removes the next layer. Keep passing the item around the circle until the last layer of wrapping is removed. The guest who unwraps the last layer gets to keep the prize.

  6. Couples Shower Game: Have one member of the couples feed their partner a baby food jar of food. The one who finished the jar first wins. Suggestion: Use dessert baby foods as some of the others are unbearable to the adult palette. Make the parent do funny things to distract the baby. Get your cameras ready.

  7. Belly Casting: Allow guests to participate in making a belly cast for mom, and help decorate the finished product.

  8. The Rice Pin Game: Fill a container, large enough to insert your hand without getting it stuck, with dry rice. Put the contents of a package of small gold safety pins loose in the container. Each guest has to dig out as many pins as they can in 60 seconds. Start over with each guest. The one who comes closest to the exact number wins.
